Chase a Wild Son

OK, I haven’t seen an episode in more than 20 years but I’ll give the game a try anyway… I’m indebted to the scripts on Sharon’s web site (http://www.geocities.com/scott_land_queen/) for a bit of dialogue from “Chase A Wild Horse.”

According to the web site, this is how the exchange between Murdoch and Scott goes after Johnny leaves Lancer.

Scott: "You don't give at all, do you? All pride and Johnny's cut from the same mold. Not one inch of give."

Murdoch: "You want me to go after him? Beg him into coming back here?"

Scott: "Is that so bad?"

Murdoch paced across the room and swung to face his elder son. “You want me to go after him? Beg him into coming back here?"

“Yes!” Scott glared at his father, infuriated. “Damn right I do. You have a bad habit of losing your sons. And this time, sir, you have absolutely no one to blame but yourself.”

Scott’s long legs crossed the room in a few strides. He reached out to grab his hat and slammed the door behind him. Murdoch stared at it, his shoulders sagging. “I know,” he whispered to the empty room.

THE END
