Frank Walker vowed revenge against Dan when he went off to prison.  When word comes that he's escaped, Dan rides out to see his wife and son.  The son also hates Dan and draws a gun on him.  Dan burns his right hand on the barrel when he grabs the gun, leaving him handicapped against Frank Walker.  When the final confrontation occurs, it turns out that Frank is just a sick man who wants to come home to die.  His son is not satisfied with this turn of affairs and tries to take on the Marshal himself, but is stopped by his father.  A good episode that ran out of steam a little at the end.  Johnny gets his gun grabbed twice, once by Frank and shortly after by his son in a very  unrealistic turn of events.
