Artist Frederick Jameson shows himself able to handle the kind one on one confrontations common when rustic cowhands are confronted by an educated artist.  However, the murderous gang on his trail are another story.  This episode is the source of the picture of Lily Merrill that was subsequently displayed over the bar at the Birdcage.
