The impending nuptuals of Bill Jennings and Amie are disrupted by the appearance of a young man determined to kill Jennings for abandoning him and his mother.  Despite the threat, Bill doesn't want to disillusion the boy by telling him his mother ran off with another man and in fact Bill is not even his father.
