Dan and Johnny are transporting a prisoner when a rainstorm and nightfall force them to seek shelter in Jack Brace's cabin.  Tucupita, the Indian woman Brace keeps as a near slave warns Dan in her language that Brace robs and kills travelers.  Brace and the prisoner join forces and overpower the two lawmen.  With the help of Tucupita, the tables are turned before Johnny and Dan can finish digging their own graves.
